Welcome to Slow Decorating in 2026
If you look around at the design world right now, you might notice something shifting.
For the last decade, we’ve been suffocated by "safe."
Safe grey walls. Safe beige sofas. Safe, mass-produced art that matches the rug perfectly but says absolutely nothing about the people who live there.
We treated our homes like showrooms instead of sanctuaries.
We bought "fast furniture" to fill a gap rather than waiting for the right piece to fill our souls.

This year, we are celebrating the hands that make our homes. We are championing the artisans, the upholsterers, and the true makers of fine furniture. We are choosing fabrics that feel like a warm hug, not just a durable polyester.
So, here is my challenge to you for 2026:
Be bold enough to banish the beige.
Don’t ask, "Is this trendy?"
Ask, "Will I still love this in 20 years?"
Ask, "Will I still love this in 20 years?"
Start collecting. Stop consuming. Let’s build homes that breathe.
With best wishes for a wonderful 2026
