Thoughtful interiors, timeless living, and stories gathered along the way.

Something wonderful is on its way

There is a particular kind of joy that comes with a delivery day, and lately, ours have been absolutely spectacular!

Our new arrivals from India have begun landing regularly, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with what’s coming through the door.

Just in time for the cooler months, beautiful new quilts have turned up just in time, as they are the kind you want to snuggle under on a winter evening and never leave. Alongside them, stunning new cotton pyjama sets that are as lovely to look at as they are to wear.

And this is just the beginning.

We have new collections in the wings that we are so excited to showcase, and they deserve the most beautiful setting we can give them.

Which brings us to closer to our exciting move …

Our move is closer…. and we can hardly wait

If you’ve ever moved house, you’ll know the feeling.

The excitement that quietly builds for months before anything actually happens.

The sorting and the clearing out, deciding what comes with you and what’s had its day. The new things you’ve been holding back, waiting for the right space to finally show them off.

The planning, the lists, the lying awake at night imagining how it’s all going to look. And then…finally…. moving day arrives, and all that anticipation spills into something real.

That’s exactly where we are right now.

After three years of calling our current corner of Mudgee home we are relocating, and we are so ready.

We’ll be closed Thursday 18th, Friday 19th and Saturday 20th June as we make the move, and then on Monday 22nd June we’ll open our doors in our beautiful new store.

Same familiar faces. Same expertise and services you’ve always relied on.

The same Cloth & Feather you know, just in a space that finally matches everything we’ve been working towards.

In the meantime, our sale continues both in store and online — so there’s plenty to look forward to before we even turn the key.

Curtains & Drapes in 2026

Window furnishings are having a real moment, and we’ve been writing about exactly that over on the Cloth & Feather blog.

Our latest piece explores the curtain and drape trends shaping homes in 2026, from fabric choices to hanging styles, and there’s plenty of inspiration whether you’re starting fresh or simply thinking about a refresh.

If something catches your eye, we’d love to sit down with you. Our consultation service is the best way to bring your ideas to life, and we’re booking now. And rest assured, with our move to the new store, every one of our window furnishings services continues exactly as it always has.

Same expertise, same beautiful results, brand new home.

ALI'S STYLING TIP

When to mix and when to match

Here’s something I feel strongly about: mix your timbers, and please… step away from the matched bedroom set. You know the one. The bed, the bedsides, the tallboy and the bedside stool, all purchased together in the same finish, from the same range, on the same day.

It’s not that it looks bad exactly, it’s that it looks like a display home. Or a motel room. A space that nobody actually lives in.

The homes that feel genuinely beautiful, the ones you walk into and immediately want to stay, are the ones that have been collected over time. A bedside that belonged to your grandmother. A tallboy you found and painted. Timbers which complement rather than match. That slight tension between pieces is what gives a room its soul.

So the next time you’re tempted by a “complete bedroom package,” resist. Mix it up. Your home will thank you.

Warmly,

Ali
